I wanted to be Dusty when I was young. I wanted black eyelashes so thick people would wonder how I held my eyes open (I didn't realise they were false). I wanted a figure to die for (I started my periods at 10, but didn't get breasts until I was 16!). And I wanted to sing like her.
There are lots of Dusty vids on YouTube, so if you don't know what she looks like, go find out. But there was no vid of this song. In my opinion her finest. So sit back, have a glass of wine (for Dusty's memory) and listen to the Queen of British Soul Music.
